Had enough of frustrating Shoulder Pain?

Why painkillers and visits to your GP are not the answer!

It is only when we have shoulder pain that we realise how much we use them during our day to day lives. The simple tasks that you always took for granted are now difficult and uncomfortable, and you have to think about how you perform each task. The hope is that you wake up one morning and the problem has fixed itself and the pain has gone away. Unfortunately this is almost never happens.

The shoulder is a complicated joint and has the most movement of any in our body. The problem with that is that when it does go wrong, it is unlikely to fix itself.

Shoulder pain

Does this sound familiar?

If you are reading this page, you are probably experiencing shoulder pain that you thought would go away but hasn’t and you’re wondering what to do next.

Perhaps you have been to your GP, who prescribed painkillers and told you to return of your shoulder pain persisted. And then, weeks later, you revisited your doctor because nothing had changed, only to be prescribed even stronger painkillers which still didn’t help.

Perhaps you’re confused about what to do next? You can’t work out what caused the pain and how to recover from it?

The shoulder can be a very complicated and difficult area of the body to understand. Because of this, you have probably received conflicting advice on how to deal with it.

Many people understandably begin to accept their pain as just a part of life. They resign themselves to the fact that they have no choice but to continue living in pain and, very often, limited shoulder movement.

You don't have to live with Shoulder Pain

If you are currently living with shoulder pain, these are the 5 most common things we hear from patients just like you in our clinics:

  1. I thought the pain would simply go away on its own after a period of rest, but it didn’t.
  2. I went to the doctors, thinking they would fix it, but was prescribed painkillers and rest which did nothing to help.
  3. Friends have told me that everyone gets pains as they get older, it’s just normal and you have to live with it.
  4. I’ve been to healthcare professionals in the past, but they were unable to help.
  5. I’ve tried resting and applying ice, but my shoulder pain simply won’t go away.
